Q: What do you treat?

A: We treat conditions or pain having to do with back, neck, shoulder, elbow, wrist, hip, leg, knee, ankle, foot or the head and brain. We provide diagnosis and individualized treatment for:

Q: Do you perform surgery?

A: No. However, we offer the latest in non-surgical, minimally invasive procedures customized to the need of the individual. We treat every patient in a conservative manner trying to avoid the need for surgery or highly invasive pain management procedures.

Q: What is special about Emas Spine & Brain Specialists?

A: We have experience in properly diagnosing and treating neck and back problems along with other sports injuries. Our goal is to treat your condition without the use of more invasive interventional pain management or surgery.

Q: How do I make an appointment and what are your office hours?

A: To schedule an appointment, call (904) 448-4180, ext 241, or fill out our online appointment request form. We are open Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. We are centrally located in Jacksonville, Fla.

Q: Do you work with other doctors?

A: Yes. Many of our patients are referred to us by other physicians. Part of our treatment plan may also involve referrals to other physician specialists. Emas Spine & Brain Specialists is well known and respected by physicians throughout Northeast Florida.

Q: What should I expect from an initial visit?

A: We will perform a comprehensive analysis of your medical history and current symptoms. We strive to make a proper diagnosis and a complete treatment program will be specifically tailored to meet each patient’s needs.

Q: What should I bring to my appointment?

A: You should bring any office notes, X-Rays, MRI’s and lab results that you have from any other physicians that would assist us in your treatment plan. You will also be asked to show your health or auto insurance card, picture identification (accepted forms of ID include a driver’s license, state ID card, student ID, or passport) and medication bottles from your current prescriptions.

Q: Do you accept auto insurance or workers’ compensation insurance?

A: Yes, as well as most other popular health insurance plans. Please call our office to discuss your particular needs.

Q: Will you submit the billing to my insurance company?

A: Yes. We will prepare and submit all billing and support information for you.

Q: Do you charge for the completion of medical forms, such as disability forms?

A: While we realize the importance of these forms, the completion of these forms utilizes additional staff and resources. Consequently, it is necessary for us to charge for forms completion.

Q: Will my insurance pay for your services?

A: We participate with most major health insurance carriers providing coverage in Florida, including workers’ compensation. Our insurance specialists will be able to assist you with any questions you might have regarding your plan.
